Wonderful Concert - Bright Beginning for Boulder Chamber Orchestra

The inaugural concert for the Boulder Chamber Orchestra was a huge success. The house was packed and we were scrambling to find a few more chairs for the back of the hall.

The concert was striking for two different reasons, one was the music selection. There were a few people in the audience that were not your typical chamber music or classical music lover and they were all excited to discover that they did like chamber music based on performance.

With only four rehearsals under their belt - the audience was amazed at the quality of the performance. Most people were surprised they had not practiced together more. Music Director, Bahman Saless has done a fine job inspiring this group of musicians to aspire to excellence and it show.

The second reason this concert was unusual was the infusion of a slide show that corresponded to the tempo and time period of the music. Subtly displayed on the side of the stage - it offered an unique feel to this unique group.

Their next concert is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2005
